Question by : How to contact Facebook about innapropriate photos and comments?
Somebody I know just committed suicide because he was being bullied in school. One of his friends made a page on Facebook to honor him and people are making false accounts and posting racist, insulting comments. They’re also posting innapropriate photos and gory images of dead people, etc. Also they’re making references to Nazism and the Ku Klux Klan. A lot of people I know are really upset by this, and we’ve tried reporting the page and the people but Facebook isn’t doing anything. It’s really awful what people are writing. What can we do?

if you go at that bottom of the page or on the pitcher should say report

Question by : How imporant is Facebook when it comes to getting a job/work?
I don’t have one but I just started a summer job and I’m hoping to also volunteer as well. I know Facebook is great for making friends and staying in contact with people but what I want to know is, is it good for getting future job’s? I heard that some companies actually look up your facebook/expect you to have one.

Some companies will look up your facebook and read the book by it’s cover. They look to see what is posted by you and about you by others, then they judge you. They might consider not hiring you if they see something they don’t like.

The only times I’ve heard of companies looking you up on facebook is just to make sure you aren’t a complete idiot or something. I mean, lets assume you’re applying for a job and your facebook is all about how you’re always drunk. Or worse, lets say you’re female (which I assume you are since your name on here is Ashley) and your facebook is covered with pics of you in slutty outfits or something.

Some companies might use it to see if you’re a good fit for the position and company, but they certainly aren’t going to expect that you have one. Well, unless you’re applying for a job at Facebook. Then they’d probably expect you to have one.

Question by supafreakeh: How long does it take Facebook to delete a reported group?
There’s this group where people steal photos from other’s personal facebooks without permission and bash their appearances and personalities. I don’t see why this should be allowed because it breaks Facebook rules and it’s cyber bullying. I reported the group but I don’t know if Facebook will take the time to respond to the matter.

Has anyone ever reported something to Facebook? Did they delete it? How long did it take?

On the new profile, your tagged pictures are shown at the top, below your school, birthday, and employer. Would this change make my tagged pictures visible? Are the privacy settings any different?

Sorry if your expecting an answer … but uhm I also have the same question as you, so if anybody gives out an answer than i’d like to be notified., because I dont like the tagged pictures on my profile.. its just odd … it makes my profile look wierd. Other than that the new profile is okay.

Hello! This recently has become a very common question, and for good reason. Fortunately, Facebook has taken this into consideration when designing the updated profile.

After deciding to switch to the new design, ALL of your privacy settings remain the same – including those associated with your photos. What this means in relation to the new feature of the five tagged photos being showcased on your profile page is that only those who you allow to view your tagged photos will be able to see them. If you have settings that prohibit certain people viewing tagged photos, the photos featured will instead be replaced by the album pictures that you allow to be public instead. In the case of your settings reflecting a choice of not allowing ANYONE to see your tag photos, the same scenario (album photos being featured) applies to EVERYONE.

In reference to your question about the privacy settings, Facebook has made it completely clear that their current user privacy preferences were unaffected in this change.

in the top right corner of the post on the news feed there should be a little icon for a drop-down box that gives you the option to customize who sees those types of posts from that app or source.. try looking for that

1.From your home page, hover your mouse to the left of the left side News Feed menu.
2.Select Edit
3.A list of people, apps, Pages, and groups you’ve hidden or unsubscribed from will appear in a pop-up box. Click the X next to each one you’d like to remove from this list. Removing someone or something from your list of hidden stories means those stories can appear in your News Feed again.
4.Click Save.

I just got an ipod touch and I am on it all day at work where there is wifi. I would like to use the facebook app but I don’t want others to see im online. Is this a possibility? I don’t want people to get the idea that I sit at home all day monitoring facebook.

OMG finally a question i can answer!!! when people see you on chat, they see that you are on mobile and instead of a green circle next to your name, theres a little picture of a phone. If you dont want your friends to see that, click the offline.

You do not shown as online just because you are using Facebook app on your iPod. This has nothing to do with the platform on which you are log in your Facebook account.

Just set your status so others could see you as offline.
